Carol and her husband relocated from the mountains of NC to Charleston, SC. The low country is now their home. They love to play cards, entertain friends, hike, and visit their grandsons on the east and west coasts.

Betsy Thorne, a South Carolina poet and artist, is one of six generations to call Columbia home. Her paternal grandmother gave dramatic readings in southern churches for the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Her father was a storyteller. Betsy is a member of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers. Her poetry is found on buses, in Rain Poetry, and in House Box Poems.
