Cozy up with Our Lives in Verse, Everyday Poetry, your elegant teacup at the ready as the water boils and your favorite tea soon steeps. Or prepare for the moment your coffee finishes its drip or perk, and the rich brew is poured into a favorite coffee cup or mug, even a seasonal mug. Then settle into an interlude of peaceful calm, your thoughts uplifted with winsome musings about life through poetry and prayers that satisfy the soul. Be blessed, dear friend.
Our Lives in Verse presents thirty-five poems nestled into three sections, "Months of the Year; Home and Family; and Everyday Musings." There is a poem for each calendar month and for the celebration of Christmas. There are thoughts about community, family, and regions of the country. The hard work of the farmer is appreciated. Curious considerations about the serendipitous nature of life, our duties, and genealogy capture the imagination. There is even a poem to elucidate a life truth called "The Pollyanna Principle." Throughout, faith is a foundational presence, expressed with humility, compassion, and love. I was thrilled to receive wonderful Book Reviews which can be found under the "More" header. I'm forever grateful. Thank you for considering my poetry - Happy Reading! |
